Can you imagine living in a RUBBISH DUMP? Too disgusting a thought? Well, over 1000 abandoned children in Kenya actually do! You’ better believe it.
Their daily existence depends on whether they can fight animals for food to survive.
After stumbling upon the Nakuru dumpsite in Kenya and witnessing first hand these orphans living in a rubbish dump, a special person called Cassandra Treadwell decided to build an orphanage to enable these “'dump children'” a chance at a normal life.
The first orphanage opened this year with 40 four to six year old orphans being provided with a home and an education, but still more orphanages need to be built to save more children.
